Silvina Lanusse has always experienced art as a way to make sense of life when words fall short. Growing up in Argentina, surrounded by stories, color, and deep emotional connections to place and family, she discovered early on that creativity could hold what life sometimes scattered: memory, longing, and identity. As her life journey carried her across countries and chapters, art became her grounding force, a space where fragments could be gathered and made whole. 

At its best, art doesn’t exist in isolation. It lives within thoughtfully designed spaces—places that invite connection, conversation, and reflection. This year at Art Vancouver 2026, Retro Modern Designs is proud to serve as a main sponsor, curating the furniture lounges and stage environments that will shape how guests experience Canada’s premier contemporary art fair on the West Coast.

To Elika Keshavarz, art began as a quiet act of observation, a way to capture the moments, emotions, and stories that words could never fully express. Born in Canada but raised in Ireland, Deirdre Keohane’s journey between two countries—and two artistic worlds—has shaped the deeply personal and culturally rich work she creates today. At age 13, she moved with her family back to Ireland, where she grew up and studied art in the vibrant city of Cork. In 2015, she returned to Canada as an adult, bringing experience, imagination, and a distinctly Irish lens through which she continues to view the world.
