What are the superior communications technologies?

I was reviewing the performance logs from last quarter, and it’s obvious that our communication system fails every time we hit peak user activity. The PBX just wasn’t built to handle sudden spikes, and even minor call routing changes take too long to apply. With how much our hosting services have grown, we need something that can adjust dynamically. I’m trying to determine whether transitioning to cloud-based communication would genuinely solve this or if we’d just be trading one set of problems for another.

There’s a detailed comparison that might answer exactly that question:

https://www.mamboserver.com/blog/cloud-vs-pbx-communication-platforms-for-hosting-providers/ . The article goes in-depth about scalability and shows scenarios where cloud platforms automatically scale capacity without manual intervention. It also explains how cloud systems distribute traffic across multiple servers, so performance remains stable even during unexpected load surges. PBX, by contrast, relies on fixed hardware resources, so once you hit the limit, everything slows down or fails.
