Art Downtown is less than a month away! This year, the summer outdoor art fair runs from July 6 to September 16 at Lot 19 and Jack Poole Plaza. Featuring artists from the Greater Vancouver Area, the fair will have live art demonstrations and music throughout the day.
Admission is free for all ages!
Audiences can explore the fair and interact with the exhibiting artists, learning about the different meanings behind their work.
Live demonstrations
All summer long, artists will be creating live on location in the open air. Audiences can enjoy live demonstrations, interact with artists and learn their story in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
Art Masters
Watch and enjoy as artists compete in a one-hour painting competition with a theme and a mystery box of supplies. Creating without paint brushes, artists get to test their creativity and ability to work under pressure.
The audience votes for the winner. Competition paintings will be available for a silent auction at the end of the competition, so be sure to stay to bid on your favourite!
Art Downtown is a wonderful way for anyone who loves art to spend their summer and to experience art in the open air. The event runs from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays, for you to visit throughout the summer break, on your lunch break or after work.
