Art Ignites

Updated: Oct 7, 2019

Art Vancouver is very excited to introduce a new element at this year’s 5th International Art Fair - Art Ignites - a dedicated student-centred event happening for Grades 6 to 12, on Friday, April 26th from 1 pm - 5 pm.

Navigating through 40,000+ sq ft of exhibition space that will house over 1,200 works of art can be tricky. To assist teachers and students do that, a Resource Guide will be available to provide directed activities for students so they can get the most out of their experience at the art fair.

We welcome teachers and their students to a fun and engaging afternoon that will also include an opportunity to participate in an art workshop, a chance to speak to artists about their work, an art demonstration, and a panel discussion to inspire young artists who want to work in the creative field.

Students in Grades 6 to 12, from public, private and independent schools, as well as, home school students, from different parts of the lower mainland, are invited.

We welcome you all to Art Ignites!

If you know of any youth or school groups that you would like to pass this article on to please feel free - we thank you for your support!

We are grateful to be gathered here and recognize our privileged place on these lands.
